New Aletas y Birlos site launch.

Bienvenidos

Our studded tubes are the product of welding studs to a tube by Electrical Standard Frequency machine.

The combinations of types of Steel Tube and Stud are many different combinations of carbon steels, alloy and stainless steels.

Combinations of different carbon steels must be heat treated, which are Post Weld Heat Treated in our PWHT Oven.

The mainly applications for studded tubes is the process heat recovery of the petrochemical industry, in areas of convection ovens, vacuum generators for chemical processing.

Its high resistance to harsh environments, such as sections of Sulfuric Acid atmospheres, makes it very useful for the industries mentioned.

We are proud to state, that Aletas and Birlos, is the only Studded tubes supplier in the world that can supply up to 27mts studded length, ranging from 2 to 14 inches outside diameter, being unique in the industry to produce up to 14", both of be the only provider that supplies bolts from ½ inch to 2.5 inches tall studded, these being the most complicated combinations of the industry.

    Why a studded pipe?

  • Increase efficiency in the process of heat recovery and direct flame hostile atmospheres.
  • Reduce the amount of bare pipes used in these processes. (Heat transfer surface of one studded pipe is equivalent to surface of 4 to 10 bare pipes).
  • Ideal for processes applications where dirty fuels are used and harsh environments in terms of temperature and / or corrosion.

    Stud Material

  • Carbon steel ASTM A510 grade 1005 to 1010.
  • Alloy steels normally used in steel studs.
  • ASTM A193 Grade: B6, B6X, B8, B8a, B8M, B8C, etc.
  • AISI 304, 316, 410, 347, 321.
